How to choose a wetsuit for UK water

  1. 01

    Winter: 5/4mm or 6/5mm, hooded

    December to April, sea at 7–10°C. Add 5mm boots, 3–5mm gloves and keep the hood on.

  2. 02

    Spring & autumn: 4/3mm

    May–June and October–November, 10–14°C. Boots early and late in the season, gloves when it bites.

  1. 03

    Summer: 3/2mm

    July to September, 14–17°C. Swimmers want a dedicated swim suit: thin shoulders, buoyant legs.

  2. 04

    Size by height and chest

    Snug at the neck and chest, no baggy pocket at the lower back. Weight is the tie-breaker.

    £4.95 standard, free over £75. We dispatch in 1–2 working days and parcels take 2–4 days. Boards travel by tracked 48-hour courier.

    Highlands, islands and NI: allow 1–2 extra days01/05

  • 14-day returns

    Change your mind within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Wetsuits must come back unworn in water, tags on, with no signs of use.

    Refund within 14 days of receiving the return02/05
